The sessions are to be held at Brooke Centre, Regent Place with plenty of free on-road parking.

In a relaxed group setting, you will learn through discussions, stories, poetry and most importantly, your own experience, to take pauses. To tune into your senses, thoughts, breath and body sensations cultivating a new self-compassionate relationship where you are not always in your head - paying attention to the constant commentary and chitter-chatter of thought. This results in a more loving compassionate approach to all of your other relationships - family, work colleagues and the world around you. Things you currently find annoying, irritating, frustrating take on a new perspective leaving you with a sense of peace which removes tension from your body as well as from your relationships.
I cannot wait to share with you the techniques and tools I have learned and how to embody these into your everyday life to create peace, compassion and happiness.

Numerology is a bit like Reiki - it's not known exactly how it works, but it does! When I first became intrigued by Numerology back in 2015, and created my own report shortly after in 2016, I was surprised by the correlation of what had happened in my life and what the report revealed. But I was also sceptical about where it said my life was leading as it seemed quite a leap from my - then current - circumstances. Six years later my Maturity Number is ringing true, as is the relevant Major Life Cycle number relating to my current age. I am someone who believes anything is possible - Reiki and Meditation have taught me that there is so much more to life than that which our mind can perceive - and Numerology is yet another example of this. Check out the Numerology Tab above to read more and discover how you can get your hands on a report which not only tells the story of your life so far but shows you just what your potential is.
Recent Reiki sessions have proven why I love this healing modality so much. I am still amazed, after several years of practice, at the shared experience. Here are some recent comments from happy clients:
"My Reiki session with Sam was incredibly calming and relaxing. Sam made me feel so at ease, the overall experience was excellent. If you've never had a Reiki session before, you should definitely make an appointment with Sam. Absolutely brilliant!" from KT, Rugby
"Relaxing experience with Sam the atmosphere was authentic made me feel at ease throughout. Sam then explained everything she found at the end which was so personal I am glad I got to experience my first reiki massage with you Thanks again ☺️ Xx" LW, Rugby
"This was truly a spiritual experience - Sam was so warming and made me feel at ease. The healing she sent me is doing wonders. Highly recommend/suggest/urge you to go and see her" CW, Leicester

Introduction by 5 time author and International Teacher, Suryacitta
I first met Samantha in 2018 and could see very clearly there was a genuine yearning to discover life’s truth.
It wasn’t long until I learned she wrote poetry and on one of our retreats I suggested she read one out. I was amazed! The first one I heard was called Surrender…
“Like the plants surrender to the earth
the trees surrender to the breeze
No willpower required
just life living with ease…”
These words described exactly all that I set out to convey on the meditation retreat and with such clarity, simplicity and beauty.
On our extended retreats I often attempted to explain silence - why we have it, what it is and its benefits. However, I don’t need to go into expanded explanations any longer, all I need to do is read Samantha’s beautiful poem below, which points to the spirit of silence better than any discourse. On reading this I was stunned into silence myself!
The Stillness of Silence
When we trust in what we know
at one with our inner glow
the stillness of silence settles us so
Questioning all we perceive as real
abandoning commentary in order to feel
the stillness of silence helps us to heal
Releasing beliefs once held fast
no longer under the spell they cast
the stillness of silence embraces until at last
The doors of perception open wide
no sense of separation, no divide
the stillness of silence with our being collides
Resting in this place of knowing
aware of life, ebbing and flowing
the stillness of silence is us, love growing
The words at the end of the second stanza are full of insight and wonder: “abandoning commentary in order to feel, the stillness of silence helps us to heal”. Healing, we could say, is what meditation, silence, going on retreats is all about. Not just emotional healing but the deeper healing found in the last stanza: “The doors of perception open wide, no sense of separation, no divide.” Through meditation and silence we heal the division not only between ourselves and others, but between ourselves and life itself, because there is only One and we are all it.
What is most striking about Samantha’s poems is the depth with which they convey the eternal presence that is everything, by stirring that “place” beyond the thinking analytical mind. In such a few words she can touch the fabric of non-dual reality, allowing you – if only for a moment - to taste it for yourself.
Suryacitta, The Happy Buddha
Sunflowers grown from last year’s seed and Niger flowers self-seeded from bird-feeder (thank you goldfinches!) win-win! Take some time to be with nature. It’s a great way to practice being present - no judgement just childlike curiosity and wonder. Make the butterfly, the bee, the fly, the bird, the ant, the swaying branch, the flowing water - your focus of awareness. Allow all to be just as it is - hot/cold, birdsong/lawnmower. As you observe the activity, notice with neutrality all the thoughts and sensations that come and go - thoughts judging good vs bad; any bodily sensations and their clinging/resistance to these thoughts. Feel below the surface of the 'me-movie' to the reality of now and the peace and gratitude this brings. The gratitude for this opportunity to simply be: the breath in and out - any sights, sounds, smells, tastes, sensations and thoughts - to be experienced without attachment. Rest here and then smile - feel the love! Recognition of arriving home .......
Below is a variation on a poem posted previously ....
Mother Earth and her lessons
Water – gushing, trickling, still
doesn’t question the changes
simply flows with life’s will
Lilac blossom – blooms ‘n’ flowers
doesn’t question its life-span
oblivious of hours
Flowers in the earth, stars in the sky
never question their worth
or ask how? when? why?
No chatter calling for edits, all happy to play their part
– one pulsating planet, one vibrating heart

One of the first things we learn through mindfulness and meditation is how a thought is just a thought - it's not fact and certainly not who we are. The thoughts aren't even ours - if they were we wouldn't have the majority of them, would we?
Thoughts are mental events: they are like seeing, smelling, hearing, tasting, feeling/touching - always active, but we don't need to lose ourselves in them - simply notice, acknowledge and be the knowing of the thinking, the sensing.
Worry is thinking about something over and over with the addition of 'what if', 'should' and 'could': some of the most futile words in our vocabulary and ones that can stir many sensations causing stress and suffering.
We also often wear worry like a badge, with pride - seeing it as an expression of how much we care about someone or something. Or see it as a natural response to dealing with situations. But are either of these things really true? Sitting with questions like these in meditation is a great place to start.
Worries are borne of fear. The fear of losing: face, money, love. The fear of life not being the way we want it to be, for us and/or our loved ones. I'm not talking about the wonderful creative, productive type of thinking here but the regurgitating, incessant chatter. Worry is misplaced imagination running riot. Constantly focusing our attention on what was, or what might be, is diluting our direct mind-body experience, distracting us from now, from our true nature. We should allow each person/situation to be what they are - not always pleasant or what we would choose, but just as they are - warts and all!
Emotions such as anger can stir us to take action, to move against injustice but worry merely keeps us in a state of negative bias and distanced from the reality of now.
Things will be what they will be, it's awareness that determines what we see.
We can go through life second-guessing and letting our imaginations run riot on all the things that might or might not happen, or we can live now - aware of the body breathing, the senses alive and alert ready to kick-in when the conditions are right, allowing experiencing to take place.
I recently read a quote which inspired the poem below: "Worrying does not take away tomorrow's troubles, it's takes away today's peace"
Borne of fear
Worry is borne of fear
of failure, of not being enough
of saying yes, of saying no
of turning the other cheek
of letting go
Worry is charged by thought
by comparison, by crippling doubt
by listening to yes, listening to no
by hiding away
by being on show
Worry is released in presence
in spontaneity, in knowing worth
in loving yes, in loving no
in timeless being
in living in flow

Do you find yourself judging your life as not being quite right - not what you wanted or expected - lacking in some way?
Do you find yourself relentlessly going over and over certain situations and conversations?
Do you find the voices in your head overwhelming as they echo media messages of how you are not enough? Not slim enough, not smart enough, not curvy enough, not popular enough, not kind enough, not good-looking enough, not wealthy enough, not ambitious enough, not a good enough parent/spouse/friend?
Can you relate to this? I know I used to feel exhausted by the non-stop chattering mind with its judgments, criticisms and self-doubt! When I first started Mindful Meditation, six years ago, and learned to watch my thoughts, I discovered so much about myself not least that I was my biggest bully! I was kind to others but I certainly wasn’t kind to me!
You too can cultivate a new relationship with yourself by not getting caught up in thoughts’ stories - so often toting the worse-case scenarios - and, like me, become your own biggest fan!
In a culture where we are always looking for more why not join me and discover LESS. In just a few weeks you will notice

Take some time out of your day to stop, look up and notice this present moment, you never know what it may inspire!
Winter is settled, in and around
tree branches shiver and creak in their bareness
newly revealed trunks reach high into a blanket of pastel-hued sky
No tell-tale signs of Jack Frost’s visit
No, a north wind is the bringer of today’s bite
persistently nibbling at exposed noses, ears and ruddy cheeks
A welcome to those venturing into Mother Earth’s playground
Dew drops hold fast to leaves of evergreens
as the cold wind puts their resolve to the test
Hard ground supports each step
Arms swing creating warmth, stirring energy
Eyes look up taking in the wonders on show
The sun stays hidden, making no pretence of showing itself
yet still shares its light, its presence
A breath of life, of love, fills the lungs
a heart-centred peace spreads - from Earth, to tree, to air, to body
Winter is settled in and around
Be its beauty in silent awareness
